The Santa Fe Cafe restaurant captures the spirit of New Mexico. Dine in the warmth of white washed adobe walls, fireplaces, vigas and Bancos. Its elegant yet casual, cozy atmosphere exudes a charming backdrop for the authentic yet innovative southwestern cuisine.
The feast for the eyes is just the beginning. Duck, black beans, wild boar and peppers of all colors and degrees populate the menu at Hilton Head Island's Santa Fe Cafe. Savor a menu of powerfully flavored food. In keeping with southwest tradition, we grill over mesquite hardwoods and implement only authentic New Mexican chilies into our menu.

At Santa Fe Cafe on Hilton Head Island, we found a delicious and sometimes inventive version of Southwestern food and came away smiling.
The two-story restaurant is in Plantation Center, just past Palmetto Dunes. The walls are pale, decorated with prints evoking its namesake.
Diners are mostly in their 20s and 30s, and the room is rather noisy.
Duck, black beans, wild boar and peppers of all colors and degrees populate the menu.
We started with a bowl of chile con queso ($5) to go with our chips and fresh, chunky salsa. Well blended, with just enough heat and plenty of flavor, the queso was tops.
