With 4,000 acres, Hilton Head Plantation is Hilton Head's largest plantation. Across from Indigo Run, it is the home to the Country Club of Hilton Head's semi-private 18-hole golf course designed by Rees Jones. Hilton Head Plantation also hosts the Oyster Reef Golf Course and the Bear Creek Golf Course - both by Jones. The plantation also offers a fourth, and private, golf course - Dolphin Head.
Owned by the property owners, the Plantation is managed by the Property Owners' Association (POA), an elected Board of Directors and a full-time staff who are strongly committed to preserving the pristine and serene setting that enchants homeowners and visitors alike. The Covenants Committee and Architectural Review Board assure a continuity of design that meets the highest standards of community planning.
Hilton Head Plantation supplies two miles of beach, a community recreation center, swimming pools, tennis courts, Skull Creek Marina, and Old Fort Pub Restaurant.
There are long nature trails and boardwalks. Hilton Head Plantation residents can walk through a narrow strip of land connecting the plantation to Pine Island, a 30 acre stretch of land surrounded by beach.
Choose a home with marsh and water views, villas, and townhouses. Homes can range anywhere from $200's to several million.
