Cinemark Theaters Purchases SeaTurtle Cinemas.
This weekend, we visited our go-to theater, Sea Turtle Cinemas, to learn that Cinemark Theaters has purchased them. We’ve known for quite some time that Sea Turtle was facing problems, and thankfully the Hilton Head movie theater will not be closing. Cinemark Theaters seems to have it going on.
It didn’t take long for us to see that this could be a huge improvement. First, they had nacho cheese seasoning available for my popcorn. This alone was a huge improvemen
t because Sea Turtle was always out of stock. Also, Cinemark Theaters has more snacks to offer including more candy, hot dogs and frozen drinks (like icees).
Also, while watching Thor, we noticed the sound had been turned up some, which made the movie more…well…movie-like. We wish a sincere good luck to the new owners and look forward to a better movie experience. We loved you Sea Turtle Cinemas. Rest In Peace.
